We’ll start off with this super simple chignon and work toward more intricate looks down the line. If you have curly or wavy hair, start by straightening your hair.
Often, there is a rehearsal dinner the night before a wedding. I always suggest my brides get blown out for that evening. Freshly blown out hair on your wedding day can be semi-annoying because of the ooool’ pesky fly aways. When you blow your hair out the night before, it has a chance to calm down and settle, significantly decreasing your number of hairs gone rogue. If you think your hair will get dirty over night, a simple burst of dry shampoo on your wedding day will make your hair as good as new! Here’s what you’ll need to create this look:
TOOLS: 2 clear elastics, 5-10 large bobby pins, tail comb or teasing comb, firm holding hairspray and a hand mirror.
TIP: I always advise looking in a second mirror between each step to check your balance. You don’t want to get too far and then have to start over.
I made this particular photo tutorial printable with instructions next to the photos so it can be by your side on your wedding day. If you do choose to wear this classic modern chignon, technically you’re getting something old, something new, and something blue. Borrow a vintage brooch from a friend to add a little sparkle, and you’re all set.
such a gorgeous hairdo! a definite possibility for the wedding…
